Tenor and Soprano saxophonist Richard Peck came to New York from Louisiana in 1971, when he joined the Philip Glass ensemble. He has performed in the premieres of Glass´ landmark compositions Einstein on the Beach, Descent into the Maelstrom, 1000 Airplanes on the Roof, Koyanisqatsi, and La Belle et la Bite, among others. As a composer Mr. Peck´s activities include a score for the production of Picasso´s Desire Caught by the Tail, music for the dancer Nancy Lewis, and a score for Susan Osberg´s Slideshow. Mr. Peck has recorded and performed with many diverse artists, including David ³Fathead² Newman, Carla Bley, Michael Oldfield, and Paul Butterfield. A painter-constructionist, Mr. Peck has recently presented his work in Autoportraits Contemporains ³Here´s Looking at Me² and Musee elac Art Contemporain in Lyon, France. |
