Artist Name: Kenny Berger Artist Biography: Clarinetist and multi-reedist Kenny Berger is a versatile musician who has contributed to a diversity of recording sessions and performances. Early in his career, Berger worked as a studio musician, playing on James Taylor´s Walking Man (´74). He later worked in the David Matthews Big Band, contributing sparkling solos and playing alongside Dave Tofani. Since then he has worked extensively on Broadway in such shows as My One and Only (1983) and Gypsy (1990). Lately he has appeared on Don Sebesky´s Billy Strayhorn and Duke Ellington tribute projects and collaborated with trumpeter John McNeil as leader of the adventurous 1998 recording Brooklyn Ritual (Synergy).
