A journeyman saxophonist and arranger, Eddie Barfield (b. 12/12/09), Scandia, NY) boasted a productive 60-year career before his death in 1991. Barefield began freelancing in the 1930´s working in such notable swing-era orchestras as Cab Calloway´s, Fletcher Henderson´s, and McKinney´s Cotton Pickers.
